Art Briles isn't expected to make a run at the Arkansas coaching job.

One of the most widely speculated contenders for the newly vacant Arkansas Razorbacks job has been Baylor Bears coach Art Briles. He's an up-and-coming coach who's won in a major conference and can recruit Texas -- you'll note he recruited Robert Griffin III, for one thing. And he has a stellar image, something Arkansas is going to need plenty of in its next coach.

But 254Sports.com reports Briles is expected to remain committed to Baylor instead of leaving for Arkansas, if he is even considered a candidate by Athletic Director Jeff Long.

The Hogs are in the tough spot of looking for a coach who's not only qualified to work in the SEC West, but also willing to leave his current team months before the season begins. The superior alternative may be to let an interim run the team for 2012.
