With Clint Moseley limited due to a bum shoulder, Kiehl Frazier took advantage of a starting opportunity at the 2012 Auburn Spring A-Day Game. Frazier looked solid playing under new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler, going 7-for-9 passing for 92 yards in the first half.
Early-enrolled true freshman Zeke Pike was the second quarterback in the game, though he didn't do anything to thrust himself into the starting discussion. Using a modified scoring system, the offense defeated the defense 36-27 on the day. Transfer running backs Mike Blakely and Corey Grant scored the game's only two touchdowns. Blakely led all rushers with 65 yards on just seven carries.
Auburn also used the day to honor three legends. Statues of the program's three Heisman Trophy winners -- Pat Sullivan, Bo Jackson and Cam Newton -- were revealed in a ceremony on the east side of Jordan Hare Stadium.
