Former Oregon Ducks running back Tra Carson is heading back home to Texas and is soon joining the Texas A&M Aggies, according to a report from the weekend. Carson also appeared to confirm the news himself, unless he's set to join Texas M&A.
Former Oregon RB Tra Carson will transfer to Texas A&M. He was originally out of Texarkana, TX.
Carson got into games last year, putting up 254 rushing yards on 45 attempts in 10 games. He ranked fourth on the team in rushing yardage and could've contended to steal some snaps from Kenjon Barner and De'Anthony Thomas this season.
With Christine Michael departing after this year, A&M's running back depth chart could be wide open for a player like Carson to make an impact in 2013. A tandem of Carson and Ben Malena could make for tons of speed out of the backfield in Kevin Sumlin's offense.
