Arkansas's Marquel Wade, Maudrecus Humphrey, Andrew Peterson Charged With Felonies

Bad news on the situation in Arkansas: The counts of burglary for Marquel Wade, Maudrecus Humphrey and Andrew Peterson are going to be felonies. Razorbacks' beat writer Thomas Murphy with the update:

The trio stole $4,817 worth of stuff -- laptops, cash and textbooks. They've been suspended indefinitely by interim coach John L. Smith, which was to be expected. All three are wide receivers -- that will cause quite a hit to the Razorbacks' depth at that position.

Smith has had sort of a rough go since having to take over after Bobby Petrino's adulterous motorcycle ride. Three players had already been arrested this offseason prior to this incident. The transition would likely have been difficult enough without felonious activities, and losing three players at one position would make it even worse. On the plus side, 19 felony counts will probably make his squad pretty hard to catch in EDSBS' s Fulmer Cup.
