The depth chart situation for the TCU Horned Frogs was in perilous shape heading into the summer, after four players were kicked off the team following a drug bust. The past week has seen top running back Ed Wesley and offensive lineman Nykiren Wellington depart, yet here might be the biggest blow yet, considering everything else: linebacker Deryck Gildon is gone, according to a report by Stefan Stevenson. Gildon's departure had been rumored.
Gildon was expected to start, and with Tank Carder and Tanner Brock both moving on, provide some continuity to the front seven. As a freshman, he appeared in all 13 games and made 21 tackles. Junior Joel Hasley appears behind Gildon on the latest depth chart.
Stevenson also reports tackle Carter Wall is gone, removing yet another backup from behind James Dunbar and BYU transfer Tayo Fabuluje on the outside.
