PHOTO: Pink UGA Helmet Sure Looks Like A Game-Ready Helmet

Consider Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray. The man knows no sartorial bounds, whether it's wearing a Florida St. Seminoles shirt or revolting Christmas sweater or remarkably tight pants or just some lady friend from the beach.

He takes his fashion seriously, but I'm not yet sure what we're to make of this pink UGA helmet he tweeted a photo of along with the note, "Ready for our Pink out game next year." This is just for show, right? Is it even pink, or just all Instagram'd? These are the mysteries of May.

That is indeed a Dawgs helmet, complete with the requisite SEC logo and black and white Dawg bones, along with an emblem honoring departed longtime announcer Larry Munson. It's supposed to look like the real deal. It's also definitely pink. NFL teams and some college teams wear pink stuff every year, but never helmets.

But, wait, is Georgia really gonna wear pink helmets? For the time being, there's this chat with the team's equipment man, but little else:

If Georgia really does take the field in all pink for breast cancer awareness, that sure would be neat. It would probably work out better for the Dawgs than black helmets have. I'd have to think these are for something besides an actual game, but somebody still ought to actually do it. Especially for a rivalry game.
