Tulane wants its own stadium on its own campus, not just the lower bowl of the Superdome. But they've found themselves caught up in some New Orleans politics, and now it looks like a tough battle:
Plans for a football stadium on the Tulane University campus hit a snag after an ordinance for an interim zoning district was passed by the City Council. The district will force colleges such as Tulane to go before the City Planning Commission before building large-scale projects like a stadium.
