Did you guys know the REAL Hugh Freeze was in "The Blind Side," and not just as a doofy character played by that preacher who had a seizure on "Deadwood?" Thanks to the keen eye of Red Cup Rebellion blogger "The Ghost Of Jay Cutler," you do now. OH NO! TURN AROUND, HOOTEN! THERE'S A POLITE, WELL-MANNERED YOUTH GROUP LEADER WHO'S HERE TO STEAL YOUR JOB!
(Ignore the film editing number-countdown-thing. We promise you're not watching Turner Classic Films, and this isn't an extended presentation of Gunga Din):
The in-studio lineup for Trinity Broadcasting Network's newest college sports talk show. Not pictured: Keith Olbermann
This has to be the most amount of layered subtext and foreshadowing in a live-action Disney family film, or anything Sandra Bullock's ever participated in, ever.
We think that, combined with the fact both Nick Saban and Ed Orgeron were lured onto the same set, there's all kinds of sordid tales behind "The Blind Side's" production. It's the "Apocalypse Now" of college football film lore, unless Kathy Ireland really hooked up with that Hawaiian guy in "Necessary Roughness."
