Auburn's true freshman quarterback, Zeke Pike, was arrested this weekend for public intoxication.
Auburn Tigers freshman quarterback Zeke Pike, a 19 year old who enrolled in the spring so he's already a matriculated student, was arrested for public intoxication this weekend, according to a report from WLTZ.com. His bond was set at $300, and there's no indication if he has been released as of Sunday evening.
Pike was presumed to be in the mix for Auburn's starting quarterback spot, but an arrest for public intoxication, which will presumably have an underage drinking citation tacked on, is not a good sign for his hopes, though it's not a serious charge. According to al.com, this isn't the first time Pike's had some issues, as he was suspended the final game of his senior season at Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, Ky. for "undisclosed reasons."
He is in the mix for playing time at QB with Kiehl Frazier and Clint Moseley.
