Sports by Brooks reported Thursday that NCAA president Mark Emmert is considering stepping down, possibly to return to a position at LSU, where he once worked as chancellor. Emmert himself has shot down the report in harsh fashion:
RT @schadjoe: Mark Emmert on if he's considered leaving NCAA: "That's complete nonsense."

It's not out of the question that Emmert will return to a school at some point in the future, but that's a pretty stern denial for the time being.
Before taking over the NCAA, Emmert was courted for major leadership roles by LSU, North Carolina, Vanderbilt and others. He served as Washington's president from 2004 through 2010, previously working at UConn, Montana State and Colorado, along with the LSU chancellorship.
