What's the "Champions Bowl?" We're soon to find out more, including where it will be played and possibly some conference realignment ramifications. Follow @SBNationCFB
The bowl collaboration beween the SEC and the Big 12 ("the Champions Bowl") is soon to start getting fleshed out with more details here and there, other than the fact that they're still definitely calling it "the Champions Bowl."
For one thing, Brett McMurphy reports requests for proposals from cities will go out next week, with Dallas and Atlanta among those expected to be most interested in hosting the playoff-infused bowl thing. I used to do requests for proposals for another job. They include 17 million pages of legalese and like three drawings of like one or two ideas, in case you were wondering what those look like.
As for which specific game-hosting entities will play parts, the Cotton is waiting-and-seeing while the Chick-fil-A has appeared to be a bit more gung-ho.
However, this right here might be the most important news in the whole deal, if it's accurate, as it would mean the Big 12 is absolutely expanding to 12 teams after all, and Florida State and Notre Dame rumors are right back on:
