Ex-Seminole Greg Reid Accepted At Valdosta State, According To Report

Though it's not the homecoming Greg Reid likely had in mind, it is a homecoming of sorts for the former Florida State defensive back. On Monday, Reid was officially accepted at Valdosta State, which is located in his hometown of Valdosta, Georgia.

Reid took to Twitter to help break the news that he's officially a VSU Blazer, posting a picture of himself wearing a Valdosta State football t-shirt.

Florida State dismissed Reid on August 1 as a consequence of Reid's arrest in mid-July. Reid was arrested on various charges, including driving with a suspended license and marijuana possession.

Had it been Reid's first encounter on the wrong side of the law, Jimbo Fisher may have opted to suspend Reid rather than dismiss him. However, Reid was suspended last year following his arrest on perjury charges.

Reid will be eligible to play immediately for Valdosta State, since he is transferring from an FBS school to an FCS school.
