Minnesota State Football Coach Arrested On Child Porn Charges

The head coach of Minnesota State's football team has been arrested under charges that he possesses and produces child pornography.

The head coach of the football program at Minnesota State University, Mankato, has been arrested on allegations the he possesses and produces child pornography, as Paul Walsh of the Star Tribune reports. Todd Hoffner, 46, was arrested at his home on Tuesday by authorities in Eagle Lake, Minn.

According to Walsh, Hoffner remains jailed at this point while formal charges are considered by authorities, which are investigating the claims that he has produced pornography using minors. The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office received information on the allegation Monday, and the following day Hoffner's house was searched before his arrest.

Hoffner has been the coach for MSU-Mankato for the past four years, posting a 34-13 overall record in Division II. Assistant coach Aaron Keen, who expressed his shock to reporters after the news broke, has taken over as head coach in Hoffner's absence.
