Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, the school announced on Thursday morning. The Volunteers released an updated depth chart as well, and it lists juniors Justin Hunter and Cordarrelle Patterson as the starters at receiver. Because of the suspension, Rogers is not listed on the two-deep.
Rogers was a big part of Tennessee's passing game in 2011, as he led the team with 67 receptions, 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns. He was expected to help lead a potent Volunteers passing attack in 2012 along with Hunter.
Volunteers' head coach Derek Dooley is expected to address the suspension after practice on Thursday.
Tennessee opens its 2012 season in Atlanta on Aug. 31 against NC State.
