As first reported earlier, West Virginia is scoring a lot of points in football, currently 69 in the fourth quarter against in-state rival Marshall. That means they've scored 169 in their last 12 quarters of play if you include the paltry 30 they hung on South Florida in the 2011 regular season finale. Despite still playing their first game of the season, the 'Neers also have 139 points in the calendar year 2012, which is best in the FBS and we didn't even look that up.
Also, the Heisman voting should probably be closed. Geno Smith thinks Case Keenum was cute an all, but watch this: With 14 minutes left, he was benched after finishing 33 of 37 passing for 420 yards passing, plus 65 yards rushing, good for five touchdowns (four passing, one rushing).
