Georgia defeated Buffalo in their home opener on Saturday, 45-23.
The Buffalo Bulls didn't fair too badly 'between the hedges' in Athens as they took on Georgia Bulldogs at Sanford Stadium on Saturday. But as expected, Buffalo did lose as Georgia defeated them, 45-23 as both team's opened their 2012 campaigns.
Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray threw was 15-26 and finished the day with 258 passing yards and three touchdowns. Tailback Todd Gurley had a tremendous day as he rushed for 100 yards on just eight carries, and returned two kicks and gained 127 yards. Wideout Tavarres King also made an impact as he had 117 yards receiving on six catches.
If there is a silver lining for Buffalo, they entered Saturday's game as 38 point underdogs.
Georgia will travel to Columbia, Mo. next week to play the Missouri Tigers while Buffalo returns home to face the Morgan State Bears.
