The University of Wisconsin has fired offensive line coach Mike Markuson after just two games.

The University of Wisconsin football team has fired offensive line coach Mike Markuson after just two games, according to Tom Mulhern of Madison.com.

The Badgers offense has struggled to live up to expectation this season, including a stunning 10-7 loss to Oregon State on Saturday that had Wisconsin manage just 35 net yards on 23 rushing attempts. Quarterback Danny O'Brien was also sacked three times for 35 yards in the loss.

Markuson was hired this past season by coach Bret Bielema after 14 seasons in the SEC at Arkansas and Mississippi and was expected to continue building a program that had become known for churning out top offensive line talent the past few years.

Bart Miller, the quality control coach for offense, will take over as the offensive line coach with Markuson's departure.
