The Gators lost a couple of defensive players for a month, but RB Mike Gillislee should be okay.
The Florida Gators will be without linebacker Jelani Jenkins and defensive back Cody Riggs for about a month because of injuries, the team announced on Monday. Jenkins has a fractured thumb, while Riggs fractured his foot. In more positive news, running back Mike Gillislee should be fine for this week's game despite straining a groin.
Jenkins recorded two tackles against Texas A&M, and Riggs had three. Gillislee was the team's leading rusher with 83 yards on 14 carries. He also scored a pair of touchdowns, helping the Gators spoil the Aggies' SEC debut.
Florida travels to Knoxville this Saturday to face the Tennessee Volunteers in a battle between undefeated teams.
