Preseason All-America linebacker Manti Te'o plans to play in No. 20 Notre Dame's Saturday headliner against No. 10 Michigan State despite a horrible, horrible week full of losses:
Te'o lost his girlfriend, Lennay Kekua, on Wednesday after her long fight with leukemia. This came less than 24 hours after his maternal grandmother died.
"He lost some people very close to him, and it's obviously taken a toll on him," [coach Brian] Kelly told reporters after Thursday's practice. "Our players have been there for him, and there has been great support.
