The No. 2 USC Trojans head north to take on the No. 21 Stanford Cardinal this weekend, looking to make a statement in the Pac-12 against a tough conference rival.
USC and Stanford handed out beatings to Syracuse and Duke last weekend, though each will have the first true test of their season this Saturday. Despite this being one of the marquee matchups in the Pac-12 on Saturday, the players are trying to keep themselves from getting caught up in the hype.
"It's just another game," said quarterback Matt Barkley, who is 0-3 against Stanford. "It's the next game. It's Week 3. We're going up north for an away game. Nothing special about it."
