Wes Lunt Injury: Oklahoma State QB Leaves With Left Knee Laceration

Oklahoma State Quarterback Wes Lunt left the Cowboys' game against University of Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns in the first quarter with what is being called a left knee laceration.

Lunt was standing the sidelines on crutches but has returned to the locker room for X-rays and will be reevaluated at halftime.

On the play, Lunt was under pressure and rolling out of the pocket to his right when he took a hit from a ULL defender while throwing the ball away. Lunt had to be helped off the field after being looked at by trainers. The freshman quarterback had completed three passes for 23 yards before leaving the game.

Redshirt freshman J.W. Walsh has taken over at quarterback with Lunt out of the game.

The Cowboys are up 17-0 on the Ragin' Cajuns in the first quarter.
