Florida State has had trouble with Wake Forest in recent years, with the Noles dropping four of the last six meetings, but things are different this year. FSU appears faster and stronger at every position, the Deacs have yet to convert a third down, and the Seminoles are running all over the field offensively.
Here are a couple examples:
It's been a Faulknerean downfall for Florida State over the last decade, but it seems like finally -- once again -- the Noles are back. E.J. Manuel's superior athleticism, Chris Thompson's ability to accelerate after getting to the edge (he has touchdown runs of 74 and 80 yards today) and a dominating secondary make the Seminoles a tough matchup for anybody.
GameDay, start making your travel arrangements for Tallahassee next weekend when the Noles take on Clemson. I hear Southwest has some decent deals right now.
