Oklahoma State Cowboys quarterback Wes Lunt could be out for two to three weeks with a knee injury, according to Fox Sports (via NewsOK.com's Anthony Slater). Lunt was injured in the first quarter of Oklahoma State's game against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns on Saturday.
In the game's opening drive, Lunt came up limping after taking a hit from a ULL defender while getting rid of the ball on a first-down play. Prior to the injury, the freshman quarterback had completed three of four passes for 23 yards. In the first two games of his college career, Lunt threw for over 550 yards and four touchdowns, while being intercepted three times.
Fellow freshman J.W. Walsh replaced Lunt two plays later, and has since completed 12 of 16 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns. Oklahoma State is all over Louisiana-Lafayette at halftime, 44-0.
