It hasn't been the prettiest game for Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas. He's thrown three interceptions and has missed several open receivers. But sometimes all it takes is a little bit of protection and a crafty route to get a guy going.
Enter playmaker Marcus Davis:
Davis would take this dig route 85 yards into the endzone, good for the fifth-longest pass in Virginia Tech history and the team's longest pass play in over a decade.
Thomas and Davis have to get on the same page more often; the Hokies still trail Pitt, 28-17, late in the third quarter.
