College football's Week 4 schedule is heavy on prelude, but Saturday night is gonna be quite ridiculous and worth the wait. Follow @SBNationCFB
For the first time in 12 years, Clemson-Florida State is a matchup of two top-10 teams. It's the obvious game of the week, but that's not for lack of quality competition elsewhere.
We've got four ranked-vs.-ranked games in all, with Michigan-Notre Dame and Kansas State-Oklahoma happening at pretty much the same time as the headliner, followed by an Arizona-Oregon pointsplosion sure to see us right through morning. It could be a longish afternoon, however, with little in the way of top-tier challenges and not a single ranked team taking the road until LSU reaches Auburn. That's fine.
Most importantly, Week 4 heralds the advent of #MACtion, as we get our first taste of Wednesday night football via Kent State at Buffalo. And the best thing about Wednesday night football is that Tuesday night football is almost here (Week 8).
