Jarvis Jones says he's going to play against Vanderbilt on Saturday.
Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Jarvis Jones is serious about returning to the field this week against Vanderbilt. The All-American missed last week's game against Florida Atlantic with a groin strain, but Jones seems adamant that it will be the only game he misses due to this particular injury.
"I'm going to play," Jones told Seth Emerson of The Macon Telegraph.
Jones recorded seven solo tackles the last time he was on the field, which was a 41-20 win against Missouri on Sept. 8.
UGA left guard Dallas Lee suffered a sprained ankle in the second quarter against Florida Atlantic and didn't return.
Safety Bacarri Rambo and linebacker Alec Ogletree have also been missing in action as part of the group of suspended Bulldogs. Being without so many players has impacted team chemistry for UGA, as some players have admitted, but they are still ranked No. 5 in the nation and undefeated through three games.
