Our first Wednesday night MACtion of the year is here, as Kent State travels to Buffalo for the conference opener for both teams.
Kent State is 1-1 with a win over Towson and a loss at Kentucky, although the highlight of the Golden Flashes' season thus far has been a fumbled punt returned in the wrong direction (even if the return didn't count).
Running back Trayion Durham leads the team with 141 rushing yards on 36 carries, but Dri Archer has averaged 8.3 yards per carry on 16 rushes. The top receiver on the year has clearly been Josh Boyle, who has nine catches for 159 yards and one touchdown.
As for the Bulls, they're also 1-1 with a loss at Georgia and win against Morgan State. Buffalo can score, averaging 39.5 points through two games. Quarterback Alex Zordish is 30-for-45 passing with 385 yards, five touchdowns and one interception on the season. Alex Neutz has been his favorite target, with 13 catches for 206 yards and five touchdowns this year.
