The Arizona St. Sun Devils and Utah Utes will begin their Pac-12 season on Saturday night. ASU is coming off a loss to Missouri last weekend, while Utah defeated BYU, 24-21. With both teams entering with a record of 2-1 and a tough conference schedule looming, the stakes will be at an all-time high in Tempe.
The Sun Devils employ two quarterbacks: Taylor Kelly and Michael Eubank. Kelly is the starter and plays most downs, while Eubank comes in as a dual-threat option in certain situations. Their offense ranks 17th in the nation at just under 43 points per game, while their defense is 25th in points allowed at 14.7.
The Utes lost quarterback Jordan Wynn after just one game this season and now have senior Jon Hays as their starter. Hays has played well since taking over, throwing for 350 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in two games.
ASU won this game 35-14 last season in Salt Lake City.
Game time, TV channel: 10 p.m. ET, Pac-12 Network
Point spread: The Devils opened as 4-point favorites. The line has since moved to 7 points.
