Wisconsin Badgers running back Montee Ball has left the team's game with Texas-El Paso with a head injury and won't return, according to a tweet from the school.
The Heisman hopeful had 40 yards on nine carries in Madison, Wis., where the Badgers found themselves down early to the Miners. Ball had previously fumbled for the first time in his collegiate career in the game.
It's tough to imagine things getting much worse for the Badgers, who are a disappointing 2-1 two weeks removed from an upset loss to Oregon State. The two wins have been minor victories over Northern Iowa and Utah State by a combined 7 points. Losing their best offensive player can't help.
