Oklahoma Vs. Texas: Stacy McGee to remain suspended, according to report

Oklahoma Sooners defensive tackle Stacy McGee will be suspended through an Oct. 27 game against Notre Dame.

Oklahoma Sooners defensive tackle Stacy McGee will be suspended through the Oct. 27 Notre Dame contest, Tulsa World's John E. Hoover reports. The senior tackle was suspended in mid-August for an undisclosed violation of university policy.

Then, teammate Casey Walker called it a huge loss, and he added that McGee knew he had made a mistake, according to ESPN:

"It's one of those things where it's like, 'I knew better.' You know what I'm saying?" Walker said. "So, it's like when you're a kid and Mom tells you not to touch the stove and you do it anyway, and you got burned. It's just one of those things. He learned his lesson and whatnot, and he's just moving forward now.

McGee was one of the more experience members in the defensive line rotation. He had three starts in 2011 and 11 in 2010. Fellow senior defensive lineman David King took McGee's spot on after the suspension, moving over to tackle from defensive end.

McGee returned to practice this week, according to Crimson and Cream Machine.
