The Yellow Jackets and Hokies are deadlocked 7-7 through the first half.
With the first half in the books, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Virginia Tech Hokies are tied 7-7 at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Va.
In what has proven to be a defensive stalemate, neither team has been able to grab the upper hand. The No. 16 Hokies have been a one-man show on offense, with quarterback Logan Thomas doing most of the work. Thomas has only thrown for 90 yards on 12-of-23 passing, but he's also gained 40 yards on the ground to lead Frank Beamer's squad.
The Yellow Jackets are hanging in quite well despite being underdogs, running their option game with some efficiency. Zach Laskey has had success, gaining 28 yards on seven carries. Predictably, there hasn't been a ton of passing for Georgia Tech. Quarterback Tevin Washington has aired it out sparingly, throwing for just 52 yards on seven attempts.
Orwin Smith has caught all four of Washington's completions.
