Coming off a season-opening rout over Northern Colorado last Thursday at home, the Utah Utes won't have to travel out of state for their first road game, as they make a short trip to Logan to face the Utah State Aggies on Friday night.
Utah, out of the Pac-12, is a touchdown favorite over its Mountain West opponent. The Aggies are coming off a 34-3 win over Southern Utah.
The Utes' offense looked solid during the season-opening 41-0 win over the FCS Bears. Starting running back John White rushed for 119 yards, starting quarterback Jordan Wynn threw two touchdowns and backup quarterback Travis Wilson rushed for two touchdowns. Wynn missed the final nine games of the 2011 season with a left shoulder injury. He threw a pick on the Utes' opening drive last week, but recovered to complete 19 of 27 passes for 200 yards. Both touchdown throws went to tight end Jake Murphy.
