Chris Faulk Injury To End LSU Starter's Season, According To Report

Highly rated LSU offensive tackle Chris Faulk will miss the remainder of the 2012 season after suffering a "major knee injury" in practice Wednesday, according to New Orleans Times-Picayune's LSU beat writer Randy Rosetta.

LSU coach Les Miles had already ruled him out of Saturday's game against Washington.

Expected to be among the top offensive linemen candidates eligible for the 2013 draft, his injury deals a blow to the No. 3 Tigers. The returning All-SEC second team left tackle paired with Alex Hurst to make one of the best bookend combinations in the country.

Now, the Tigers will look to senior Josh Dworaczyk to fill his spot, or possibly move sophomore left guard La'el Collins or Hurst to left tackle.

Dworaczyk was a two-year starter at guard before an injury of his own caused him to miss the 2011 season. He is playing his sixth year after being granted a medical redshirt for last season.
