BLACKSBURG, VIRGINIA - NOVEMBER 17: Virginia Tech Hokies players take to the field prior to their game against the North Carolina Tar Heels at Lane Stadium on November 17, 2011 in Blacksburg, Virginia.

The Virginia Tech Hokies are back in action on Saturday, playing host to the Austin Peay Governors less than one week after defeating the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 20-17, in an overtime thriller.

After an intense ACC battle against Georgia Tech, the Hokies take on a less talented opponent in Austin Peay, an FCS school. Austin Peay lost their season opener, 49-10, against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

Virginia Tech will look for another strong performance from quarterback Logan Thomas, who was 21-of-38 passing against Georgia Tech, throwing for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Frank Beamer's Hokies will also look to improve on their ground game, as Virginia Tech picked up just 96 yards on the ground on 35 carries in Week 1 -- good for just 2.7 yards per carry.

Of course, there's always a chance for the upset, so the Hokies shouldn't totally sleep on Austin Peay. Still, this game has all the makings of a blowout victory for Virginia Tech.

Game time, TV channel: 1:30 p.m. ET, ESPN3
