Clemson defeated Ball State on Saturday, 52-27, which was punctuated by a 32-point second quarter by the Tigers. Aside from the 32-3 outdoing of Ball State in the second, the game was about even.
The Tigers won the first quarter, 13-7. Ball State scored 10 unanswered in the third quarter, and each team put up a touchdown in the final period. Andre Ellington scored Clemson's first two touchdowns of the game, The second quarter was about DeAndre Hopkins, the game's box score hero.
Horactio Banks scored two of Clemson's three touchdowns, the first a 54-yard touchdown and the next from 21 yards out.
