Auburn Vs. Mississippi State Final Score: Bulldogs Knock Off The Tigers, 28-10

In a battle between two SEC West squads, the Mississippi State Bulldogs defeated the Auburn Tigers at Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday afternoon, 28-10.

In an game of almost equal time of possession on the ball, Mississippi State amassed 388 yards of total offense while Auburn managed just 216.

Box Score Hero: Bulldogs quarterback Tyler Russell threw for 222 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions on the day. His play was clearly a factor in Mississippi State's victory.

Rankings Ramifications: Both teams entered the game unranked so there was no effect on the Top 25, but the victory does move Mississippi State to 1-0 in the SEC West while Auburn falls to 0-1.

But Did They Cover? Auburn entered Saturday's game as a 3-point underdog, but Mississippi State's 18 point victory bested that six times over.
