Florida Injuries: Jelani Jenkins, Josh Evans Among Downed Gators

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Florida Gators defense is getting a bit battered at the moment as linebacker Neiron Ball, linebacker Jelani Jenkins, defensive lineman Shariff Floyd and safety Josh Evans have left the game against the Texas A&M Aggies in the second quarter.

Floyd was taken out of the game an injury to his left leg. Jenkins was removed with an injury the arm. Ball was removed after what appeared to be an injury to his right hamstring. Evans took a nasty shot to the head trying to make a tackle and went down hard.

The Gators defense is currently struggling a little bit as they are trailing the Aggies 17-7 in the second quarter. Obviously the injuries are not helping that cause at all.
