Georgia Vs. Missouri Final Score: Bulldogs Explode In Second Half To Win 41-20

The No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs scored 32 second-half points en route to a 41-20 victory over the Missouri Tigers on Saturday at Faurot Field, spoiling the Tigers' debut as new members of the Southeastern Conference.

The Tigers actually outgained the Bulldogs offensively, 433 yards to 356 yards, and seemed primed for the upset when they took a 20-17 lead on a field goal with 3:11 to go in the third quarter. But the Bulldogs pulled ahead 24-20 with 1:38 to play in the third on an 11-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Aaron Murray to receiver Marlon Brown.

After a Georgia field goal made it 27-20 three minutes into the fourth quarter, Bulldogs linebacker Jarvis Jones intercepted Mizzou quarterback James Franklin and returned it 21 yards to the one-yard line. Todd Gurley ran it into the end zone one play later to make it 34-20, and the Bulldogs were on their way to a rout.

Box Score Hero: Brown, who led the Bulldogs with eight receptions for 106 yards and a couple touchdowns.

Rankings Ramifications: It's unlikely this game will have any impact on Georgia's rankings. No. 8 Arkansas will likely fall after losing to Louisiana-Monroe, while South Carolina, tied for No. 9 with idle West Virginia, beat an overmatched East Carolina squad 48-10. No team ahead of the Bulldogs figures to fall far enough to move them up in the rankings.

But Did They Cover? The Bulldogs were three-point favorites heading into the game, so yes, they covered handily.
