College Football Rankings, Week 3: LSU Moves To No. 2 In Coaches Poll

On the strength of their 41-3 victory over the Washington Huskies, the LSU Tigers have moved past the USC Trojans into the No. 2 spot in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll.

Despite a victory over the Syracuse Orange on Saturday, USC again sees its stock slip as the Trojans land in the No. 3 spot despite receiving 11 first-place votes.

Both USC and LSU continue to trail Alabama, which collected 42 of the 59 available first-place votes from the coaches. LSU grabbed five of their own, and the No. 4 Oregon Ducks were able to take the remaining vote.

After upset losses, the Wisconsin Badgers (No. 13 to No. 22) and Nebraska Cornhuskers (No. 14 to No. 24) see their stocks plummet. The Oklahoma State Cowboys fall completely out of the rankings after their own upset loss.
