Charlottesville, VA (Sports Network) - Montell Harris ran for 151 yards on 38 carries to lead the Boston College Eagles to a 14-10 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers in an ACC bout at Scott Stadium.

Dave Shinskie threw for 147 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in the win for Boston College (7-3, 4-2 ACC), while Rich Gunnell caught three passes for 75 yards.

Jameel Sewell threw for 221 yards and an interception to lead Virginia (3-7, 2-4) in the losing effort, while Rashawn Jackson gained 61 yards on the ground for the Cavaliers.

Following a quiet opening period of play, the Eagles found pay dirt with a 10- yard strike from Shinskie to Justin Jarvis early in the second quarter.

The Cavaliers tied the contest at 7-7 following a 58-yard interception return by Chris Cook, and took a 10-7 lead late in the third period with a 38-yard Robert Randolph field goal.

But the Eagles took a 14-10 lead midway through the final quarter of play on a one-yard Shinskie plunge, enabling Boston College to escape with the win.
