Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Justin Kahut kicked a 33-yard field goal in the final seconds to give the Oregon State Beavers a hard fought 23-21 win over the UNLV Rebels in a non-conference showdown at Sam Boyd Stadium.

Jacquizz Rodgers fueled the Beavers (2-0) offense with 166 rushing yards on 26 carries. He also had 10 catches for 65 yards and a touchdown.

UNLV (1-1) was led by backup quarterback Mike Clausen, who threw a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes to bring the Rebels back to life.

After a scoreless first quarter, Sean Canfield got the Beavers on the board with a one-yard touchdown pass to Brady Camp with 1:04 remaining until halftime.

Early in the third quarter, Rodgers put Oregon State on top, 13-0 on a two- yard touchdown scamper.

Two minutes later, UNLV answered with a 19-yard touchdown pass from Omar Clayton to Rodelin Anthony.

But Oregon State responded with a seven-play, 75-yard drive, capped by Canfield's four-yard scoring strike to James Rodgers with 7:17 remaining in the third quarter.

UNLV cut the deficit to 20-14 on a 13-yard touchdown pass from Clausen to Anthony at the 10:53 mark of the fourth quarter.

The Rebels took a 21-20 lead when Clausen found Phillip Payne for a 10-yard touchdown pass with 4:16 to play.

But Oregon State went on a methodical 12-play, 64-yard drive to set up Kahut's game-winner.

Earlier in the game, Kahut had missed an extra point and had a 47-yard field goal attempt bounce off the left upright.
