As I sit here drinking a Devil's Ale in honor of the Sun Devils, I can't help but be very happy with the way ASU played tonight. Yes, we always play a cupcake. Sure, we always kick some ass. Regardless, I'm going to be very optimistic right now: should this team remain healthy, they are definitely legitimate.
The Montana State Bobcats play the Utah Utes (you can watch online), and the UC Davis Aggies play the Arizona State Sun Devils to kick off the 2011 football season!

Erickson And Osweiler Seem Poised To Work Together, Lead Sun Devils
With the season opener just a few days away, Dennis Erickson and Brock Osweiler took to the podium for the first weekly press conference of the season. Here are the highlights from both the coach and the quarterback as they preview UC Davis.
ASU is not flying blind into this game, they know that you must give your best effort against every team or else you can be surprised. Under the leadership of Brock Osweiler, the hometown team should be able to take care of business early, especially if the running backs show up to the party.

There are a few big surprises on this list, including Stanford ahead of Oregon. The Ducks haven't received a ton of respect even though they keep their offense largely intact from 2010.
