BC's Montel Harris, Ifeanyi Momah, Three Others Receive Medical Hardship Waivers

Boston College Eagles football fans received exciting news on Friday, as the school announced that seniors Montel Harris, Ifeanyi Momah, Kaleb Ramsey, sophomore C.J. Jones and true freshman Connor Wujciak have all received medical hardship waivers and will be granted additional eligibility.

"This is fantastic news," BC Athletics Director Gene DeFilippo said in a statement. "We're talking about six outstanding young men whose seasons were cut short by injury. I would also like to thank the Compliance staffs at Boston College and the ACC for their diligent efforts throughout this process."

Harris, the team's all-time leading rusher, played in only two games this season after missing the first three games of the season while recovering from a knee injury. However, in the Eagles game against the Duke Blue Devils, Harris suffered a season-ending knee injury and was forced to miss the final seven games. Harris finished with 135 yards.

Momah, a wide receiver and team captain in 2011, opened the season with a prolific game (eight catches, 171 yards) but suffered a left knee injury that ended his season. Ramsey, a senior defensive tackle, had a foot injury in the season opener and finished the year with two tackles.

Jones injured his knee on the opening kickoff of BC's game against the Central Florida Knights and was knocked out for the rest of the season (he had four total tackles in 2011). Finally, Wujciak had a left shoulder injury early in the season.

Harris, Momah and Ramsey will each be granted one additional year of eligibility, Jones will have three years of eligibility left and Wujciak wil have four years of eligibility left.
