Georgia Tech safety Fred Holton will miss the remainder of the season after having surgery on an injury he sustained in the preseason. This will be the second season Holton has missed due to injury, derailing the good start shown as a true freshman.

After missing the first seven games of the season, season-ending surgery to repair a torn tendon in his lower left leg appears increasingly likely for Georgia Tech safety Fred Holton.

Georgia is without running back Barndon Harton, while Georgia Tech struggles on defense without Fred Holton.

Georgia Tech will have offensive line standout Will Jackson in Saturday's game against MTSU. The tackle was named ACC offensive line player of the week earlier in September.
