2012 Nagurski Trophy Watch List: Kansas State's Arthur Brown, Nigel Malone Make The Cut

The 2012 Nagurski Trophy watch list was released on Thursday and among the 80-plus athletes on the list, the Kansas St. Wildcats landed two players for the award that is given out to college football's best defensive player.

Linebacker Arthur Brown and cornerback Nigel Malone were were named to the watch list and are now considered one of the best defensive players in college football for 2012.

In 2011 Brown had a stellar season with 101 total tackles with 57 of those being solo, 9.5 tackles for loss, a pair of sacks, broke up two passes and had an interception. Those numbers are well deserving of landing Brown on this watch list.

Malone earned his name on the list by recording 47 solo tackles and 58 overall, seven interceptions with one returned for a touchdown and he broke up 10 passes.
