[Editor's Note: This is a draft order chart based completely off of the current standings. Tiebreak rules were used to establish order of playoff teams, and then playoff "wins" were awarded to the team with the best record, or whomever came out ahead in tiebreaks. For those who are wondering, Denver topped Indy in the #4 tiebreak scenario, "strength of victory" (.504 to .305). Obviously, this chart will change drastically from week to week, and I will update it as time permits to keep us abreast of developments.]

First round

1. Carolina to San Francisco. Carolina traded its 2010 first-round selection for San Francisco's 2009 second-round selection (43rd overall, used to select Everette Brown) and its 2009 fourth-round selection (111th overall, used to select Mike Goodson).

2. Chicago to Denver. Chicago traded its 2010 first-round selection, its 2009 first- and third-round selections, and quarterback Kyle Orton to Denver for quarterback Jay Cutler and a 2009 fifth-round selection.

3. Denver to Seattle. Denver traded its 2010 first-round selection for Seattle's 2009 second-round selection (37th overall, used to select Alphonso Smith).

Second round

4. Atlanta to Kansas City. Atlanta traded its second-round selection to Kansas City for tight end Tony Gonzalez.

5. Chicago to Tampa Bay Chicago traded its second-round selection to Tampa Bay for defensive end Gaines Adams.

6. Jacksonville to New England. Jacksonville traded its 2010 second-round selection and its 2009 seventh-round selection to New England for the first of New England's 2009 third-round selections (73rd overall, used to select Derek Cox).

7. Tennessee to New England. Tennessee traded its 2010 second-round selection to New England for the third of New England's 2009 third-round selections (89th overall, used to select Jared Cook).

Third round

8. New England to Oakland. New England traded its third and a conditional pick to Oakland for defensive end Derrick Burgess.

9. Seattle to Philadelphia. Seattle traded its third-round selection in 2010 and its fifth- and seventh-round selections in 2009 (137th and 213th overall) for Philadelphia's third-round selection in 2009 (91st overall, used to select Deon Butler).

10. Washington (forfeit). Washington will not have a third-round selection in 2010, as it used a third-round pick in the 2009 Supplemental Draft to choose defensive end Jeremy Jarmon.

Fifth round

11. Dallas to Denver. Dallas traded its fifth-round selection to Denver for guard Montrae Holland.

12. Denver to Detroit. Denver traded its 2010 fifth-round selection and a 2009 seventh-round selection (#235 overall, used to select Zack Follett) to Detroit for a 2009 sixth-round selection (1st selection in round six, #174 overall, used to select Tom Brandstater).

13. Denver to New England. Denver traded its fifth-round selection to New England for defensive lineman Le Kevin Smith and New England's seventh-round selection, which was later traded back to New England.

14. New England to Tampa Bay. New England traded its fifth-round selection to Tampa Bay for tight end Alex Smith.

15. New Orleans to Philadelphia. New Orleans traded its 2010 fifth-round selection and a 2009 seventh-round selection (#222 overall, later traded to Indianapolis) to Philadelphia for a 2009 fifth-round selection (#164 overall, used to select Thomas Morestead).

16. New York Jets to Cleveland. New York traded its fifth round pick, as well as a conditional third-round pick, WR Chansi Stuckey, and LB Jason Trusnik, to Cleveland for WR Braylon Edwards.

17. Tampa Bay to Cleveland. Tampa Bay traded its 2010 fifth-round selection and its 2009 second-round selection to Cleveland for tight end Kellen Winslow II.

18. Carolina to Kansas City. Carolina traded its 2010 fifth-round selection to Kansas City for defensive end Tank Tyler.

19. Miami to Kansas City: Miami traded its 2010 fifth-round selection to Kansas City for quarterback Tyler Thigpen.

Sixth round

20. Indianapolis to Philadelphia. Indianapolis traded its 2010 sixth-round selection to Philadelphia for a 2009 seventh-round selection (#222 overall, used to select Pat McAfee).

21. Oakland to Carolina. Oakland traded its 2010 sixth-round selection and a 2009 seventh-round selection (#216 overall, used to select Captain Munnerlyn) to Carolina for a 2009 sixth-round selection (#202 overall, used to select Brandon Myers).

22. Philadelphia to Buffalo. Philadelphia traded its 2010 sixth-round selection and 2009 first- and fourth-round selections to Buffalo for tackle Jason Peters.

23. Washington to Miami. Washington traded its 2010 sixth-round selection and 2009 second-round selection to Miami for defensive end Jason Taylor.

Seventh round

24. Atlanta to St. Louis: Atlanta traded its 2010 seventh-round selection to the Rams for Tye Hill.

25. Green Bay to New York Jets (returned): Green Bay traded its 2010 seventh-round selection and quarterback Brett Favre to the Jets for the Jets' 2009 third-round selection. The Jets acquired this pick as part of the conditional agreement of the trade in which Favre's performance resulted in the Packers receiving the Jets' 2009 third-round selection, coupled with Favre retiring after the 2008 season. However, this pick has been returned to the Packers.

26. Kansas City to Miami: Kansas City traded its 2010 seventh-round selection to Miami for Miami's 2009 seventh-round selection.

27. New England to Denver (returned): New England traded its 2010 seventh-round selection and Le Kevin Smith to the Broncos for their 2010 fifth-round selection. Denver then traded the selection back to New England for offensive lineman Russ Hochstein.

28. Philadelphia to New England. Philadelphia traded its 2010 seventh-round selection and wide receiver Greg Lewis to New England for New England's 2009 fifth-round selection.

Conditional/Undetermined

29. Carolina to Cleveland: Carolina traded a conditional 2010 selection to Cleveland for DT Louis Leonard.

30. Jacksonville to Tampa Bay: Jacksonville traded an undisclosed 2010 draft choice to Tampa Bay for quarterback Luke McCown.

31. Kansas City to Miami: Kansas City traded an undisclosed 2010 draft choice to Miami for offensive linemen Andy Alleman and Ikechuku Ndukwe.

32. New England to Baltimore: New England traded a conditional 7th round 2010 draft choice to Baltimore for LB Prescott Burgess. Burgess was placed on the Patriots' practice squad, but was claimed by Baltimore after their game against the Patriots, thus nullifying the trade as Burgess did not meet the condition for playing time.

33. New York Jets to Philadelphia: New York traded a 2009 fifth-round selection and a conditional 2010 selection to Philadelphia for CB Lito Sheppard. Depending on Sheppard's playing time in 2009, the selection could be in the second, third, or fourth round.

34. New York Jets to Cleveland. New York traded a conditional third round pick, as well as a fifth round pick, WR Chansi Stuckey, and LB Jason Trusnik, to Cleveland for WR Braylon Edwards. The third-round pick can become a second-round pick based on Edwards' performance with New York.

35. San Diego to Houston: San Diego traded an undisclosed 2010 draft choice to Houston for defensive lineman Travis Johnson.

Q&A with Music City Miracles

I had a chance to speak with Jimmy Morris, head of Music City Miracles, about this Sunday's game. Here is his insight into the game Click here for my Q&A with Jimmy about the Jags

1. Since starting 10-0 in 2008, the Titans are 3-7. Why the dramatic slide?

Honestly because they haven't played as well when they started 10-0. I know that sounds like a simple answer, but it really is true. This team, even at it's best, has a small margin for error. They have to do all of the little things really really well, and they haven't been doing that over the last 10 games.

2.Will the Titans need to turn to Vince Young again if Collins doesn't regain the form he had early in 2008?

Well by the time Fisher acknowledges that Collins hasn't returned to form it will be too late. At that point they will turn to Vince Young to see what he has got and to audition him for other teams. I don't think Vince will ever be the guy for this team. If the Titans get to the point where they have no shot at the playoffs they will turn back to VY just to see if he has anything to offer.

3. The TItans return 10 of 11 starters on defense, yet they don't look like the same team. Was Albert Haynesworth really that dominant?

Haynesworth is the most dominant defensive tackle in the league so his departure has obviously hurt, but the defensive problems run a lot deeper than just that. The secondary, which sent 3 guys to the Pro Bowl last season, has been horrendous thus far. Nick Harper is done, and the rest of their guys have forgotten their assignments at times this season. I think they can get it fixed, but it won't be easy with a rookie starting opposite Harper and a rookie starting at nickel this Sunday.

4. Is this a "Must win" game for the Titans?

Absolutely. Making the playoffs right now is a long shot, but it is pretty much impossible from 0-4 with the Colts and Patriots coming up before the bye.

5.How are the Titans rookies doing so far?

It looks like it was a good class. Kenny Britt has already contributed more than any rookie receiver here ever. Jared Cook was exciting in the preseason but has been banged up so far in the regular season. He is supposed to be full strength this week for the first time. Ryan Mouton looks to be a good nickel back but not so good at returns. You will get a good look at Jason McCourty filling in for Cortland Finnegan on Sunday. The only disappointment so far has been 2nd round defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks. He hasn't been active for a game yet.

Fisher declared that Nate Washington will be ready to start on Sunday against the Texans, provided he doesn't have any setbacks this week. This is good news as we closer and closer to seeing the passing game at full strength for the first time since all of the turnover at WR.

Bobby Wade is headed to Kansas City, and Fisher reiterated that he's happy with the return game personnel we already have...

... and part of the reason for that is Ryan Mouton's rapidly improving health. In slightly more awesome news, Jared Cook will be a go this weekend!

Vince Young Foods has a website up... the line of meats has been out for years, but this is the first I've seen of the website. No word yet on if the brisket is slow smoked over mesquite or a nice benchy pine.

This article is an understatement in terms of how badly 0-2 would play around here. This team is better than that and they can't be screwing around early on in the season.

Paul Kuharsky isn't above borrowing from his old buddies at the Tennessean, so here's his first stock report.

8. Tennessee Titans: That's about as good as a team can look in defeat.

Strong safety Troy Polamalu won't need surgery despite his knee being crunched by the full weight of Alge Crumpler... maybe we can make this Alge's new signature move. Name ideas?

Willie Parker says the lack of preseason work hurt him against us last week, which is funny because I'm pretty sure it was the lack of holes and running lanes combined with an overwhelming amount of defensive penetration into the backfield that hurt him. Who knew it was missing those silly exhibition games that resulted in that mound of suck. Good to know.

You know how everything we've heard about Jared Cook has been almost too good to be true? The hands, the speed, the athleticism, the acrobatic catches.... Haven't we all been silently waiting for that crappy part of the pick to come out that you just wish you didn't know? I can't ever remember a back-up punter making as many headlines as A.J. Trapasso, but this time it's Craig Hentrich making the headlines by saying A.J. will be an NFL punter for a long, long time.

And just as an addendum to the post on guessing the roster and the discussion of surprise cuts: the scuttlebutt on 104.5's broadcast from training camp yesterday was that Ryan Fowler may be headed out, largely because of the talented depth in that group and Fowler's lack of special teams impact...

An MRI showed no major damage to Nate Washington's hamstring, but his status for the season opener at Pittsburgh is still very much in doubt. Given how tough the early third of our schedule appears to be, this could be a significant injury due to the lack of experience behind him. The meager upside to the situation is that coaches will get a good long look at those young guys over the final two preseason games with the starting unit.

Traditionally Coach Fisher has had the starters play into the first few series in the third quarter during the third preseason game so that they get a feel for the halftime process and making adjustments. This squad is so experienced, however, that Fish is saying he may forego that route this time.

Graduating from Vanderbilt and carving out a good career in the NFL is more than most people can accomplish, and it doesn't get a bit easier if you throw dyslexia in the mix... just ask Jovan Haye.

Jeff Fisher is still confident that they can get Kenny Britt signed and ready to go before practice starts at 3:30 today. I'm still very sure this gets done as well, but I really kind of thought Reinfeldt would lock this up yesterday.

Lots of notes here from Jim Wyatt, but perhaps the most interesting one is that the practice session for next Tuesday August 4th, has been moved to LP Field in the evening and made open to the public. Fisher addressed this in his press conference this morning, saying that the practice will now be help at Baptist Sports park, though it will still be in the evening and open to the public.

If you make it out to LP Field next Tuesday you're liable to see a monster of a defense, and then you could say that you also see... Monsters by Ryan Adams, which is this week's edition of the Friday Jam!

SI.com writer John P. Lopez pegs Jared Cook as our draft gem, and I'd definitely agree with that! He's probably the rookie I expect to contribute the most this year, but he's got to earn that playing time.

Baltimore Ravens Draft Picks Sign For Less Than Others

It is beginning to look like the players drafted by the Baltimore Ravens want to sign and become part of this team so badly that they are more than willing to sign contracts for less money with smaller signing bonuses than other picks drafted later than them. Now with the understanding that I don't get to see the entire contract broken down to guaranteed money and incentive clauses, it may not be exactly as it appears on paper. However, take a look at what the players that have signed so far by the Ravens from the 2009 NFL Draft accepted as compared to those players drafted either just before or after them.

When draft picks are signed by their teams, there is a pecking order to put them in and they are basically "slotted" into contract amounts that coincide with their position in line based on where they were drafted. Therefore, the player drafted 50th overall should make less than the one drafted 49th but more than the guy drafted 51st. That doesn't appear to be the case with the players that have already signed with the Ravens. Check out these draft picks that have signed with other teams in comparison to the Ravens' picks that were drafted either before or after them:

Round 3:

87. Patrick Turner, WR - USC (Miami): 4 years, $2.3 million, $714,000 SB (Signing Bonus)

Click here to see the site I used and the rest of the signings listed so far. While I realize that these may not be exactly correct, as they are from another blog site that I cannot vouch for (www.BackseatFan.com), I've verified the ones I could by cross referencing them with other sites' reported signing numbers and they seem pretty close if not correct. It's intersting to see the discrepancies between what players signed for with the Ravens compared to other players and teams. Perhaps it is the great negotiating abilities of the "Wizards" at The Castle, or maybe the draftees desire to play for this excellent franchise outweighs their need to maximize their contracts an they just want to get in camp. Either way, their making more money than they could ever expect and now have the chance to prove their worth as players and ultimately the bigger payday will follow. I can't wait to see that amounts and comparisons when the Ravens #1 draft pick, Michael Oher and #2 selection, Paul Kruger, end up signing, hopefully before Training Camp starts in just over a week from today.

Post Publish Note: I'm trying to find out how this compares to prior year's signings (2008?) but haven't been able to come up with a site that lists them with enough detail to compare. Any help out there? Thanks.

Jim Wyatt says Jared Cook was the most impressive of the rookies in the recently closed OTAs, but Britt hasn't seen much practice time due to his nagging hamstring issues.

ESPN is putting out this year's edition of their 'Ultimate Standings', which rate franchises of all sports on various categories. The Titans jumped from 50 to 15 this year, thanks to their on the field domination all through the regular season last year.

Crazy Legs explained to fans and journalists that he's completely team-first, and that his cockiness shouldn't be mistaken for selfishness. Looking at everything he's said and done so far I'd agree. Football is supposed to be fun, boisterous and joyous. This isn't 1930's baseball, folks.

Did Lil' Wayne take Chris Davis' spot on the roster?

I'd like to extend a particularly offensive finger to the Tennessean for playing This is Your Life with Keith Bulluck, and there by making it sound like an obituary for his career in Tennessee. Do I know this might happen? Yes, but please don't make me deal with it this early, man. That's very un-dude.

The Titans ended their OTAs on Friday, despite having two more days of practice available under the CBA. Jeff Fisher says the idea is to not wear the guys down (especially important since we have 5 preseason games this year), and to encourage guys to come to the facility on their own accord. How was it received by the team? Not a single session had to be made mandatory, mostly because attendance was so good.

Which Titans rookies have the best chance to contribute right away? Jared Cook should be on this list, if he's going to be worth next year's 2nd rounder...

Here's David Climer doing what he does best the most: poop on the Titans' parade. Of course to do so he cites a guy who isn't a Titan, and two players who didn't say a thing that put themselves ahead of the team (despite trying to spin it that way). Needless to say, this is vintage Climer.

The journalistic obsession with the Wildcat continues, despite that fact that nobody could run it with success by the end of the season. Offensive revolutions should usually take more than three months to figure out and nullify. I mean even Renee Zellweger had more sustained success than three months, and she's just awful.

Kenny Britt is feeling pretty star struck in the Titans locker room. Take that all you national losers who say and think we're too boring to talk about!

Warren Sapp went on a rant about young players not learning from vets, and used Vince Young as his prima facie argument. This of course begets moralizing by Peter King:

"The game's different now. Look at Vince Young. Why wouldn't he listen to Kerry Collins? I'm sure Vince thinks, 'Nobody's been through what I'm going through. Nobody's been through my kind of pressure.' Are you kidding me! Kerry Collins, fifth pick in the draft, has all the ups and downs, gets benched, makes those racist comments, has the alcohol problems, moves from team to team, comes back, has success ... Vince Young should suck up all the knowledge Kerry Collins has to offer! There's no better role model for him.''

I have heard that Collins went out of his way last year to try to help Young when the struggling quarterback was having his quasi-breakdown. Young had no interest. Maybe Sapp's on to something. If he is, it's a sad commentary on the kids of the NFL.

I heard Peter King thinks the league should hire Brett Favre to be QB coach of every team, so maybe then those kids will learn how to lose on a deal-breaker INT like a happy little warrior.

Nate Washington seems to be thriving in Heimerdinger's offense, and it's because he's smart and works hard just like Derrick Mason did. You don't have to be a track star to come in and earn your money, just get open and hold on to the dang ball.

Jared Cook is learning the TE spot from a guy who used to typify the ability to run, catch and seriously block all in one package: Alge Crumpler. That's cool and all, because Alge was a perennial Pro Bowler and 2 time All-Pro, but just don't be picking up weight tips from him, Jared.
