Throughout HATE WEEK, we'll be looking back at some of the memorable moments in Gopher football history. Because all teams have moments of ineptitude, but few have so many widely available on Youtube.

September 22, 2007:

A 1-2 Gopher team, reeling from a 3-point loss to the Florida Atlantic Fighting Schnellenbergers, opens their quest for a Big Ten title against the undefeated Purdue Boilermakers. As the first half came to a close, Minnesota found themselves behind 24-3, having already given up a kickoff return for a touchdown and a pick six. As Purdue lined up for a field goal to extend the lead, Minnesota felt the Rose Bowl dream slipping through their grasp. That's when Jamal Harris stepped up and kept the dream alive.

Despite Harris' heroic efforts, Minnesota lost 45-31 and would again miss the Rose Bowl. Sometimes one man's near-limitless dedication to the cause just isn't enough.
