I love a good dose of clean trash talk on the football field. But 99 percent of the time, we'll never know what's said between the lines, unless a player is mic'd-up or a broadcast catches a slip of the tongue. But if the typical NFL trash talk is anything like what Patrick Chung used to taunt Spencer Paysinger on Thursday night, more players should be given an in-game microphone.

Here is what Paysinger had to say about Chung's trash talk.

Read Pays like "Pace" if you're lost.

Remember, these two were teammates at Oregon and this was the preseason. A little trash talk on punt never hurt anybody and working a taunt into cadence simply has to be applauded. If I were Paysinger, professional vying for a roster spot or not, I'd probably be chuckling as it happened.

Props to Chung for the creativity and to Paysinger for sharing the story.
