Waco, TX (Sports Network) - Dontrayevous Robinson rushed for 61 yards and one touchdown to lead the Nebraska Cornhuskers to a 20-10 victory over the Baylor Bears in Big 12 action at Floyd Casey Stadium.
Cody Green only threw for 128 yards on 12-of-21 passing for Nebraska (5-3, 2-2 Big12), which snapped a two-game losing skid.
As for the Bears (3-5, 0-4), they were led by Nick Florence, who threw for 222 yards on 19-of-38 passing. Baylor's ground game was held to just 54 yards on 32 carries.
Less than two minutes into the matchup the Cornhuskers took a 7-0 lead thanks to a blocked punt that was return by Justin Blatchford for a 25-yard touchdown.
Nebraska added a 45-yard field goal by Alex Henery later in the quarter, pushing its lead to 10-0.
A 22-yard field goal by Henery early in the second frame pushed the Cornhuskers advantage to 13-0, and a one-yard touchdown run by Robinson just minutes later put Nebraska up by a 20-point margin.
The Bears came out of the break with a 41-yard field goal by Ben Parks, and later in the third quarter the team used a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown by Clifton Odom to cut their deficit to 10 points.
Unfortunately the Bears would come no closer, as Nebraska's defense shut down Baylor for the remainder of the contest.
