Eric Fisher had yet another outstanding workout at Central Michigan's pro day, and has all but secured his position as a Top 5 pick in the draft.
With the NFL Scouting Combine wrapped up and a little more than a month to go until the 2013 NFL Draft, it's time for the Pro Days for many colleges around the nation to get underway. On Monday, both Central Michigan and Penn State took to the practice field to showcase their talent in advance of the draft.
The biggest name of the day, though, was Central Michigan offensive tackle Eric Fisher. After a strong season, a strong Senior Bowl and a strong showing at the NFL Combine, Fisher didn't need to show much at his Pro Day. After all, he's got a workout with the Kansas City Chiefs, who hold the No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft, and that is the more important workout, to be sure.
Still, that doesn't mean he didn't look good as his Pro Day. NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah took to Twitter to say that he "heard Eric Fisher looked outstanding at his Pro Day." Of course, it's not too often we hear about players who don't look good at their Pro Days, but it's solid confirmation.
Nate Schneider had a Tweet with a quote from Fisher, in which he says that he's "looking forward to hopefully getting drafted here in April." That's an obvious joke, as Fisher is a near-lock for the first round of the NFL Draft come April.
